Upload the MKV and open the options. Frame Extraction has two modes: Single Frame saves one BMP from the second you enter (for example 1, 5 or 10.5), and All Frames saves every frame of the video as a BMP image. There is no every-Nth-frame or one-per-second mode.
Same resolution as the MKV video — a 1080p source produces 1920×1080 BMP frames; a 4K source produces 3840×2160 BMP frames. Use /resize-image/ after extraction if you need smaller thumbnails or social-media-sized assets.
Yes, with All Frames in the Frame Extraction option, but watch the count: one minute of 30 fps video gives 1,800 BMP images. For a single still, choose Single Frame and enter the second you want instead.

Is my MKV video private during frame extraction?

Yes. Uploaded MKV files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted BMP are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
