Is the PDF searchable (selectable text)?

Yes when the EPUB contains real text (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based EPUB produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, use /pdf-ocr/ after conversion to run optical character recognition over the embedded page images.
Is my EPUB file private during PDF conversion?

Yes. Uploaded EPUB files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted PDF are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
Does the converter work with scanned EPUB images?

Yes — a scanned-page EPUB (JPG, PNG, TIFF) converts straight to PDF as a one-image-per-page document. If you need the PDF to be text-searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to overlay an invisible OCR text layer on top of the scanned pages.
Can I convert EPUB to PDF and email it directly?

Not from the converter UI itself. After download, attach the PDF to your usual email client. The resulting PDF file is fully portable and works with every PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge, mobile readers) without further conversion.
